how do you qualify 'free'? Do you mean usable with no cost, or totally free?

i found a nice shareware one called iGetter, which has annoying payment reminders and a slightly kludgy interface - but as someone who uses getright on windows, iGetter is at least on par with that POS.

(just my $0.02)

/me hates you - I live in a backwater where broadband costs an arm and a leg, so all we have is old faithful 56k (more like 48, but i digress)

/me would hate me too

But I've survived on 56K for ages as well, and at least that is cheaper in the states than over here!

There are a few at versiontracker.com but no freeware I'm afraid, only shareware.

My internet is pretty good. Its around 350 KBPS DSL. But for those really monstrous files id like something good. And I would rather have something totally free. Id feel like I was scarring my beautifull powerbook if I had those annoying pop up ad things in a DM.
