how do I use "find" on a google page

In my PC days, I used ctrl-f to bring up a method of finding a word or phrase on a web site. I thought I could do that on my Mac but it doesn't seem to work. How do I get to use find on the Mac?

I knew and tried that but my problem was that I could not find where I was typing: in the PC, that is at the bottom, and on the mac, it is top right. I am fixed now...thanks
