recording from line in to garage band...

Okay, maybe GB is making this harder than it needs to be. The goal: to use the line in to record my audio notes down to MP3 format. Sounds easy you say? Well, show me the way.

I was able to do this with Audacity (pesky 'invisible' pop up window) and WireTap Pro ($19 registration). I think its probably easy with GB... but **** if they don't make it seem overly complicated.

Anyway, any help is appreciated.
