RAR files converting without Snow Leopard on Mac OS X 10.5.7

I have Mac OS X 10.5.7 but didn't install Snow Leopard so that I can use Protools (recording software)...Now tyring to convert rar to music I can listen to but applications that convert aren't working and I'm wondering if it because I don't have Snow Leopard? ...So far I have tried MacPar and UnRarX....Anyone got an idea of what I could download to convert these rar files?

Actually MacPar did work in the end
