iChat unexpectedly quits

Every time I try to open iChat recently, it just bounces on the dock for a few seconds then closes. I'm not sure what brought this on either. I used Pacifist, and reinstalled from my Snow Leopard cd and it didn't help. I have repaired permissions. I have checked my disk for errors. I have checked for updates. Does anyone think they can help me out???

I also ran the 10.5.8 Combo...didn't change a thing.
