Anything noticeably different or is this more of a bug/feature fix (I don't own an iPad so I don't care about any features that have to do with the iPad)?

It's mostly for compatibility with iOS4 and the new devices.

what schweb said... advantage for me was that it left alone folders created on iPhone in iOS4...

iTunes 9.2 comes with several new features and improvements, including:

• Sync with iPhone 4 to enjoy your favorite music, movies, TV shows, books and more on-the-go

• Sync and read books with iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 4 and iBooks 1.1

• Organize and sync PDF documents as books. Read PDFs with iBooks 1.1 on iPad and any iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 4

• Organize your apps on your iOS 4 home screens into folders using iTunes

• Faster back-ups while syncing an iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 4

• Album artwork improvements make artwork appear more quickly when exploring your library

Does it fix the issue I have that the mini-player won't stay where I put it in the lower left hand corner of the screen? I keep waiting for Apple to fix that annoying bug.

Doesn't look like I'll be rushing to upgrade - no iOS4 devices here (nor in the foreseeable future). Here's to hoping they've managed to slim down and speed up iTunes though.

Looks like iTunes 9.2 not only does not fix the issue with the moving mini-player, but actually made it worse. Great job, Apple. Thanks.

Good thing I've got Time Machine to revert back to when it was only moderately annoying rather than very annoying.

Likely not until iPhone4, and the rest of us probably won't get it until iOS4 is released. And as is normal, we probably won't know till the day it's released.

If you're referring to the new version with the PDF "bookshelf", then as bobtomay mentioned, it will be part of the iOS4 release. That is available to iPod Touch and current iPhones June 21st in the U.S. iOS4 comes to the iPad later this Fall.
