Customizing my mac

I'm looking to customize the software of my macbook running Leapord. I got candybar, but i'm wondering if there is anything else I can do to get out of the boring standard settings

Mac Specs: 21in iMac core2 Duo- 13in macbook - 10.9 on both

Don't know about Leopard but does work on SL.
