This evening i turned on my mac to surf the web only to find safari didnt open. I went onto the history tab and clicked on one of the links. Safari opened but it wasn't normal it was just a grey box. Last night i had updated safari to 5.0, and was running smoothly last night and this morning. i dont know what happened, and i need help badly. P.s i havent installed any thing other then the safari update

What MacOS version are you using, and on which specific machine? That might have something to do with your problem, or could just be attributed to Safari 5 being so new. I remember the release of 4 was slightly "buggy" for some folks at first.
You should always backup your Mac before any updates or installs. Hopefully you did that and can revert, if necessary. :/ 16GB iPhone 5, 64GB Wi-Fi only iPad 1st Gen. Reminder: Please include your Mac's specs. This will make it much easier for the other members to assist you.
