My wife was on a site that promised to provide design for birthday invites when it downloaded an application called "Smilebox Installer".

I've tried to delete it but I get a message saying it can't be removed. Does anyone know how to get rid of this thing?

Thanks,

Mike.

How did you try to get rid of it? Drag to the trash?

If the "Smilebox" program is running at the time you tried to delete it, it won't delete. You first have to stop it. Try rebooting and see if you can delete it. If not, it may be running automatically upon startup. If it is, do this...

Open System Preferences and go to Accounts. Highlight your user name and then select the Startup Tab. If Smilebox is there, select it and then click on the small minus sign at the bottom. Reboot.

Regards.
