I have a VIDEO_TS file from a holiday dvd and want to convert to play on my iPod Touch.

I d/l ffmpegx but it seems pretty complicated (although I did managed to get an .avi out of it!!!). It said to convert to a single VOB file first but that option isn't given!

Can anyone suggest anything (free) I can use that's less techy (there's no iPod touch option on ffmpegx and the iPhone option didn't work). And that has clear instructions.

The ffmpegx HELP gave me nothing!

Ggrrrr

Another vote for Handbrake. Its worked very well at converting video for me in the past and has built-in DVD support.
