hello ,

Im looking for some programs that will allow me to make some icons , i have and use photoshop for my mac, and it's no prob because mac can support other file types for icons , but im looking for an application that will allow me to save the files as .ico so i can use them on a windoze machine as well, so they can be distributed for mac and winslows , any one have any ideas or programs you like to use for making your icons ? thanks

also when you are answering this question, any software that will cut them out so that when ypu apply it as an icon its not a square, it is the shape of the icon itself.

Could not tell you any programs that wil allow you to save as ico though sorry. If I stumble upon an answer for you while I am searching for icon related programs I will post it here first before I do anything else.

Iconographer allows you to save as .ico:

Iconographer allows you to specify the displayed parts of the icon using a mask too, PowerBookG4.
