OSX Natively supports zipping and unzip but for RARs you'll need something like Stuffit free expander StuffIt Expander for Mac 2010 - Expand Zip, Rar, Sit files External hard disk acquisition addict - but admitting the problem is the first step to a robust backup Please use the reputation system if you think you've been helped - top right of this post |

The Unarchiver and Better Zip work most of the time as stated above. But they do not work with passworded .rar archives. I have only gotten UnRarX to work with passworded .rar archives. Just add in the password first then extract the archive and it works just fine. |
