Internet - Surfing bookmarks offline

Hi I was just wondering if it would be possible to make firefox download my bookmarks whenever I'm connected to the internet so that when I go somewhere without a connection I could keep browsing all my bookmarked sites, I remember IE on a wintel been able to do this a while ago I was wondering if firefox could do it as well

you can "save page as" each bookmarked page and download each page, html and all, and that would allow you to open them as if you are online.
