I deleted a important folder by mistake, how can I recover it?

Hi all, I deleted a important folder by mistake, and also I empty the trash as well. So what can I do to recover the folder. I have been use DataRescue, but still can't get back the folder. Any suggestion? Thanks

Mac Specs: 2009 MBP, Black speakers, Black Benq second monitor, black(ish) iPhone 5s, Black 2012 iPad, etc.

If you have DiskWarrior you can try its "file salvage" mode, or you can try the program called File Salvage.

But it's likely to be gone. You've been using the computer since this happened, the space where the file was has probably been overwritten.

Backups, Backups, Backups.
That would be a nice topic to read about the importance of backing up everything on your computer. But I agree with t he above sadly. Your folder might be gone forever.
