I have recently been unable to add words to my dictionary - when a spelling error is identified in a word document, I used to be able to right click and add to the dictionary.
The "add" option is now greyed out, and I can't figure out how to get that ability back. Anyone that can help? Thanks Gord |

Several things to try: (Note: in order to add words, you must specify a user dictionary)
1. Make sure your user dictionary is turned on and the correct location for it is listed under Spelling Options. 2. Your user dictionary is corrupt. This has happened to me on several occasions and it drove me crazy until I finally figured out what was going on. If it is corrupt, open it up in TextEdit and make corrections. Regards. |
