I am interested in hearing about any mac application (perferably free but no necessarly) that will do backups to a NAS. I am running a FreeNAS server (based on FreeBSD) and want to run a backup application. I would prefer a backup program that will let me do full and incrementals on a scheduled basis, but will consider others. Can time machine be made to work to a NAS via SMB? rsync?
Thanks for your help....
John

Look at it on the Apple site, and read as much as you can.

Apple - Mac OS X - What is Mac OS X - Time Machine
