    Angry Excel 2008 For Mac
    Excel 2008 is not working, geeting error message with a window, where it is written Excel encountered a problem, need to close, but it is not working even after performing this step.

    Please Help

    Try putting the file on your Desktop before staring up Excel. (You may find the "prefs" part of that filename missing. I have both names!)

    The file should be in Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences and/or Users/YourUserName/Library/Microsoft/Preferences (One of the files is in each location on my system - using OS 10.5.8)

    If Excel's behavior goes back to normal, then you can Trash the file(s) on your Desktop.
