Eggdrop on Snow Leopard

I'm not sure how many people actually still use/run eggdrop on this forum, but I do! I'd like to start a discussion forum about it, and get some exact instructions for people that want to install Eggdrop on their OSX system.

Macbook Pro, 2.4ghz, 2gb ram, 500gb 7200rpm hdd, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT 128mb.
