Hi,

I recently bought a Macbook Pro and I would like to play .m2ts files

It's a 1080p resolution video, and I downloaded VLC, but when it plays, it lags a lot. I know it's not a video card problem, as I have the newest Macbook Pro.

Are there any options in VLC that could fix this; or even better, are there any other alternatives or applications that could play .m2ts files better?

much thanks !

If it's a blu-ray rip (which are illegal here in the U.S. and we can't discuss them in this forum), I've not found anything that will play blu-ray files in OS X.

Yet another reason for a Win7 HTPC instead of a Mac.

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.
