I updated my iPod to 3.0 yesterday, and when it finished, I went through my music to find that there were duplicates of about half my albums. Most just had 2 copies but some have 4-5.... Also, it's not the way iTunes divides them when they have different artists or what not. Each album has the exact same songs.

Should I just go through and delete them?

just resync and uncheck sync music that will clear it all out then just sync again

I already restored it and it is the same. And restoring it essentially does that same thing.

What's weird is that when I have iTunes in list view, there are no copies. But when I have it in grid view it shows all of them.

Okay, here's an update:

So, I went and clicked on the duplicate albums in Grid view, and some of them are actually divided up weirdly so each one has 1 or 2 songs from the album. But on my iPod, they all have the exact same songs.

And I resynced and took the music off and then put it back on. Nothing.

Sorry I misunderstood....thought it was only doubled up on your ipod.

It's doubled up on both, but in different ways. It's just completely effed up.

Should I just restore my iTunes to a week ago or so?

What if I take my Library back to an old backup from just about a week ago and then re-sync my iPod? Would that maybe work?

Any help is appreciated, this is driving me crazy...
