Firefox 3 immediately crashes when started

I'm currently running OSX (10.4.11) and have been using Firefox 2 for a while now. I finally got around to downloading and installing Firefox 3, but when I try and start it up it crashes with this error:

Have you tried installing it again?

Does that mean classic as in Pre OS X?

Perhaps you need to use something like App Cleaner to get rid of old stuff then install 3.x
