Hello there. I'm trying to download a .exe file for windows and running it on my MBP

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience using either CrossoverMac or Wine?

I downloaded Crossover and when I run it, it just bounces a couple times in my dock and closes itself.

My main question though would be to find an easy way to run/open .exe files and run them on OS X...if anyone knows of a way or software program that can run them on Macs, please let me know!

Thanks

An *.exe file is a Windows executable and is not meant to be able to open or run from OS X. The only way to run one is either from Crossover or WINE. Or, install Windows via Boot Camp or VM software.

If you properly install Crossover, you can run certain programs on your Mac.
Not every Windows program or game will run properly using Crossover. You need to access their web site and look at their list of compatible programs and games.

Regards.
