Forgotten information in Mail

Hi, I've had my Mini for about two years and never used Mail (I generally use Gmail). My problem is this, I now want to Mail to attach pictures from iPhoto. No problem with making the attachments but when I try to send the email Mail asks me to enter my .mac password but guess what? You're right I've forgotten it. Is it possible to retrieve the password from the system or will I have to generate a new account

you could try typing keychain in spotlight.

Than use keychain access.

Then see if your password is there. If not than I guess your out of luck.
