I have just done a clean install bc of FileVault and when i migrated everything over i didnt migrate settings so my OS didnt go back into FileVault mode.

I have just set up my mail for my .live account.
Went thru the set up procedure and it confirmed all as ok I can receive mail fine but cant send. It gives msg "was rejected by server smtp.live.com...

It seems to be offline although i set up mail to be online ...

Probably something simple i missed but how do i put it online.???
In the Mailbox dropdown it is set to "take all accounts online" ???
Am way confused at this one ...

Help anyone

Cheers

In the Outgoing Server (SMTP) field, type 25 or 587 for the port number.

Also is SSL enabled for the SMTP?

Hope this helps. Got it from Microsoft.

Yep thanks Dennis... Had tried port 25 before hand and just 587 a while ago. SSL is enabled but what i found i had to do .... Bizarre is used the Authentication and now my email is set as my outgoing server...

Might be a bug ?? I deleted account and enabled account 3 times until it worked ...

Not sure why but now i have a answer ill look around and try and find why

Cheers
