Problem with iMovie

Hi,

there is a problem with playing a home-made DVD on my Mac, just wondered if anyone knows how to fix it. It's a Philips DVD+R, and the DVD player is Apple version 5.0.3. After I insert the DVD and pick the track, the screen just freezes after a second into the film and I have to restart the computer. This is not a commercial DVD, but one I made myself. Any ideas?

May be an encoding problem. Download the free "VLC" player and see if you can view it with that. Download VLC from here.

I'm an Aussie and work in PAL, but have to do NTSC projects. Still take my comments with a grain of salt!

Was the DVD created on a Mac?

I agree with 'May be an encoding problem. Download the free "VLC" player and see if you can view it with that.'
