Hey everyone,

I'm having an issue with my email, i recently changed isp and kept the old email address running with the old isp, now that i have set up the new email, the old email address seems to be downloading every email off the server again, I rung the old isp to see what was happening, but they didn't know/ didn't seem to care since we are not using our internet with them anymore I think they aren't very willing to help. Is there a setting or something that needs to be turned off?

Thanks

Delete the old account from Mail? You can do this by opening Mail, Edit-->Preferences. Select Accounts and then select the old e-mail account. At the bottom of that pane should be a "minus" sign in which case, click on that to delete OR you can just press the "delete" key on your keyboard to do the same thing.

Hope this answers your question.

Unfortunately yes. You try disable the account to see if that solves your problem. Uncheck the "Enable This Account" under the "Advanced" section of the account.

You can also "drag-and-drop" all of your old messages to the new account and then delete it.
