Dashboard Question

I just got tiger yesterday, and I am wanting to have the dashboard wigits to stay on the desktop like in konfabulator. Please help me out, as I am new to the mac os community.

Actually they are there. Notice the little black triangle under the Dashboard icon? Simply click on the icon and up they pop. You can also set it to where a key stroke brings it up or a "hot spot" brings them up. I think default is F12
