VMWare and Boot Camp

Hi all,

I am trying to use my boot camp partition inside my VMWare Fusion software. I installed Windows XP in my bootcamp and have that running without any problems. When I load my VMWare Fusion (2.0.4) it lists the partition as a virtual machine. When I click on it to run it brings up a box that says "Preparing your Boot Camp partition to run as a virtual machine".

And then it hangs, this box has stayed there for close to 24 hours with nothing happening. My friend who has done the same says this should take a minute tops.

Any ideas why this is broke? I have re-built my machine with a fresh install of Snow Leopard, VMFusion and Windows XP all within the last few weeks and still nothing different. I just would like to be able to view the same partition while running OS X.

First thing I'd try is update VMWare to the latest version which I believe is 2.0.6 for version 2.
