Can't open my iTunes after creating new user.

I don't know if this is on the right forum any more.
This is what has happened so far:
When it said "You don't have permission to access the contents of this file" I went to "Get Info" for each file and put the new user on the list of people allowed to access the file.
But now when I try to open iTunes, I get this message:
"The folder "iTunes" is on a locked disk or you do not have write permissions for this folder."
