I recently installed Snow Leopard. Until then I could use the scanner on my HP PSC 1610. Now the scanner is not recognized anywhere on my computer. And on the printer itself the message is that software must be installed. HP info says Snow Leopard upgraded the PSC 1600 series and everything should work. I have tried everything. Would greatly appreciate advice.

"Tried everything" is a tad vague. Have you tried *completely* removing all traces of the drivers and software, then reinstalling the latest updated version?
Have you tried repairing permissions? 'cause when it rains, you know it pours. |
