any good PDF apps?

My Textedit got deleted a while ago and so every time I open a lecture slide thats in PDF form my mac opens it through CoorSync which is so bad :S Are there any apps that open PDF files like Textedit does?

I'm not sure how you were opening PDFs in TextEdit before but there is always Preview. It should have been the default reader unless you installed another PDF reader such as Adobe Reader.

wow okay...i just discovered that my preview app is also gone. Would apple support help me get those back? If I upgrade to snow leopard..will I be able to get all these missing apps back?

yes. but do a clean install... i had problems after an upgrade.

It's not in your Applications folder? Do you remember removing it at any point? Have you tried searching for it using Spotlight?

i've checked everywhere..spotlight, apps folder..they're gone so if I do upgrade it will restore everything?

Yeah, PDFs are supposed to be viewed in Preview. Installing Snow Leopard should give that back to you. If you have the original installation disk for Leopard, for example, you can get the application from there as well.
