MacBook Pro - firefox froze now can't shut down

estband is offline
my firefox froze and now i can't shut down my mac because it says i have to close firefox first. the red x circle is not appearing, and i can't quit firefox either. any suggestions? thanks in advance.

You can either click on the Apple Menu and click on Force Quit or Press Command + Option + Escape simultaneously. Click on Firefox in that menu and on Force Quit.
