Hi All,

I'm having this problem with my MAC Office 2008 student edition where when I open a file for example, a Word file or an Excel file, it suddenly stops and it won't open. But sometimes if I am having a good luck, files open without any problems at all, though most of the time they tend to close and not fully open the file when I'm trying to.

I've tried removing the MS Office 2008 and it still won't function well but when I try opening the same file from a different account, there's no problem. Excel files or Word files. They have the same inconsistency.

Thanks in advance for the help. Greatly appreciated.

I dont know whats causing this, but I had serious problems with office 2008. I'd recommend getting iWork.

I don't understand the first part of that. If you've had no problem using a different account, maybe that's the solution.

I have Office 2004 and Leopard (10.5.8) and do not have the same problems described.

Neither the OP or first responder indicates what version of the OS they are using.

Thanks for the reply guys.. I just wanted to know what might be the cause of this problem.. I guess I have no choice but to use the other account.

Thanks.
