Hi

I'm using mail. In some wifi environments, even though the emails get shown in the sent box, they are not sent as they are not received by the recepieints.

this only happens in certain wifi environments, not all.

Any ideas?

same problem here....

Can recieve emails and connection doctor is successful but cannot send emails.

any help is welcome.

Many public wireless networks block port 25 (which is the usual port for sending mail) to cut down on spam and email worms from infected laptops.

You may be able to get around this by setting Mail to use port 587 to send mail instead. You may not; some networks will block everything except the ports used to browse the web.

You may also need to enter a password for your outgoing mail server. This usually comes up when you use the e-mail provided by your ISP and you try sending e-mail from an internet connection that they do not provide.

Your ISP should provide information on setting up your e-mail to work from remote locations by entering a password in the account settings or setting a different outgoing server.

You shouldn't have this problem if you use something like g-mail or if you use your ISP's webmail.
