Hello ,

After upgrading my iTunes installation from 8.2.1 to 9.0 , it now refuses to launch. The application starts but does not display a window , hangs and quits after 3-4 seconds. Does someone know of a similar issue or should i just wait for the next iTunes update?

I checked the logs , i come up with this :
Code:
9/18/09 6:45:07 PM com.apple.launchd[74] ([0x0-0x24024].com.apple.iTunes[212]) Exited abnormally: Segmentation fault
Thanks in advance.

My first reaction would be possibly bad download.

I'd try downloading again.

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.

@bobtomay:
Yeah , I'm sorry for creating a thread just for this .. Re-install and it works now.
Btw: Do you think patching itunes for themes has something to do with it?
The new version disabled my theme

Thanks anyway

Yes, anytime you upgrade an app that you're using plug-ins with, it's best to either verify before hand they'll work (should follow my own advice here), or at least be conscious of the fact you're using plug-ins that may also have to be updated to work with any new version of the app.

Older, out of date plug-ins can do a lot of strange things to an app and these are the sorts of things that are almost impossible to troubleshoot in a forum scenario.
