Hey u all
this is my first thread and it is a problem it has troubled me for quite some time now... i just finished downloading quake 4 but when i run it there's no sound in the options\sound config part of the game it tells me that my computer soundcard does not support OpenAL is there anything i can do?? any plug in i can download or something like that... Btw i have a 13 inch macbook the white one if this info helps on the solution hope u can help Juan Pablo ( Hinoiii) |

There are a few posts about this elsewhere, but I believe the general gist is that you have to download a specific patch:
Macgamefiles.com: Quake 4 Patch Then Go to the Audio MIDI Setup utility in /Applications/Utilities Select Built-In input Change the format from 2ch-24bit to 2ch-16bit If you just downloaded the game, you may already have the patch. Try the MIDI settings. |
