I used to have Firefox, then it crashed. That was about a year ago and I've just been using Safari, which is fine, but I installed Firefox again and it will not run on my Mac. It won't open at all.
Does anyone have any idea why it won't run or something I should check? Thanks for your help! |

Hi, welcome to the forums.
When posting, be sure to include as much information as possible so we can help. An example would be things like 1) Make/model/year of your Mac (the more hardware info you provide the better) 2) The version of the application you are having trouble with. There are quite a few release of Firefox so we need to know which one. Having said that, when you say 'won't open at all' do you get any sort of error/status message? Typically when an application can't open right off you will get some form of error message, or a crash report will pop up giving you a screen of information that you can send to Apple. Have you tried opening the ActivityMonitor on your Mac? It monitors all running and 'stuck' applications. If FireFox is indeed stuck, dying etc you should see it listed in the process window. You can find the ActivityMonitor in your /Applications/Utilities directory. |
