    which media player is best for .avi and .xvid
    hi guys just wanted your opinion on which is the best media player ( other than quicktime of course!) for playing the above formats... also it obv. has to play all other formats too! basically what is the best media player out right now for mac?

    If i don't use quicktime I use VLC. VLC is like the swiss army knife of video players. If VLC can't play it, it can't be played.

    You did nothing wrong. This particular type of title just tends to be a spam magnet; so, fair warning if you come back and it's gone.

    Just to add something about VLC btw.
    If you use it as your default DVD player it is totally region free.
