What happens? Error message? Suggests spelling in Russian? No visible response? Where were you at 6:15 AM on the 12th? It's hard to do detective work without the basic information.

Make sure you have the Spelling and Grammar option turned on and setup properly. Open Word, click on the "Word" menu from the top menu and select preferences. Then click on the Spelling and Grammar selection. From there you can choose which options you wish to use with the spell checker and grammar checker.

Place a check mark in the box that states "Check spelling as you type". Do not select "hide spelling errors". Also place a check in the box that states "Always suggest corrections".

Regards.
