I just got Macspeech Dictate because i used to use Dragon on my old PC, and i was told that Dictate is like Dragon for Mac. I installed the software, but when i go to create a profile, it doesn't recognize a microphone, and won't continue. Now i have a MBP with built-in mic, and was told it'll work with my model. I was browsing Google, and i saw a bunch of people say they have had problems with v10.5.6, i have 10.5.8 now. I also tried using the built-in speech with OSX, i was able to calibrate my mic, but when i give it a command, like open up firefox, nothing happens. So what's going on?
