Once you've created an event, if you double-click the event to bring up the editor, there is an option to add attendees where you can type the names of people in your address book.
Depending on whether you are using a CalDAV or not, your invitations will either go through the CalDAV service or be sent as an email. The specifics are in iCal's help file. |
