I downloaded the dr.web linkchecker as a firefox add-on, and for the first weak or two, it worked perfectly. Now, when I wanna check a link with dr.web, the same ole screen pops up, but now instead of it scanning, it always stops at two bars, and will not continue. The window dr.web opens up as is a GIF, and i'm not sure if it was when it worked. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing works, and so far, it is really pissing me off because i cant find anyone else who has experienced this problem. Can anyone help me?

Wish I could help here, but I'm struggling with DrWeb, too. I never downloaded it, but last week began getting hundreds of emails a day from"DrWeb-MailD" and the subject line "undelivered mail: failure notice."
The content of the emails is a mixture of Asian language characters and English, and there's an indication that "Trojan.inject.28090" is to blame. As I noted, I'm literally getting hundreds of these a day. I've filtered them off to my junk mail file but would love it if someone can tell me how to stop them. For the last six months, the number of "failure notices" I've received has increased noticeably, so if there's some sort of filter software or virus protection I should be using I'd love a recommendation. Thank you. Best, Frank DiGiacomo |

http://support.drweb.com/questions/mac/ And keep well away from these antivirus etc programs. Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer! |

That final link you mention seems to be for someone who downloaded DrWeb. I have never done so and it is not among my applications. The best I can tell is that someone is using my email address to send out Spam or perhaps a virus and the recipient third party has DrWeb, which is sending me a failure notice.
How do I stop that? That is, unless DrWeb is some sort of scam that cons you into buying the app so that you then have to uninstall it? But that doesn't make sense to me. |

Frank are you by chance using hotmail or Gmail which have reported security problems? If so change your password etc. as soon as possible.
