How do you delete the autocomplete address in the addres bar of safari??

anyone know how to do this, I have tried reset of safari, clear history, etc, etc, and messed with some permissions but nothing seems to work

Safari will also use auto-complete for any URLs you have bookmarked. So in addition to clearing the history, you'd also have to delete all your bookmarks.

thats true, if you have it bookmarked safari will auto-complete. in other cases deleting history usually works for me
