i have searched google, apple and the web and found no real solution, or at least one that applies to me.

the problem is on my macbook pro, any flash move, i.e. youtube, hulu, vimeo, skips while it plays. the sound keeps up fine, but the movie sort of lags for just a second then catches up. i replied the part of the vid that skipped, and it works fine the second time around, so it's something while youtube is downloading it. i have a fast connection and the video loads quickly, and if i download the vid and play it, it's fine. it's just while viewing it on their site.

i have reset pram, ran disk utility and did the verify and repair options. nothing seems to make a difference. i would have thought it's maybe an adobe problem, as i've read that adobe and apple don't always play well together, however i don't have this problem on my iMac.

i have an early 2009 macbook pro, 2.4g, 4gb ram, and it happens on both 9400 and 9600.

i have found a number of threads that speak of this problem however there doesn't seem to be a real solution to this, so i am hoping someone here has experienced it and found a fix?

thanks!

ok, what i found out was VLC will actually play youtube vids flawlessly and easily. apparently adobe flash isn't a friend of mac. now if it could only work for hulu and vimeo, i would be seriously happy.

also, when running vlc vs youtube, my mbp runs cooler and has less cpu usage. why can't adobe do this, i wonder.
