How can I see the total number of files in my Mail folders? Does it help to periodically delete files in Mail folders? Will it affect performance? TIA.

Don't know how to see the total number of messages in all mailboxes, but deleting doesn't help performance. The files are so small they hardly take anything to run.

In my experience, letting your emails build up can slow down your computer a lot. Emails are typically pretty small, but the drive gets very fragmented over time which impacts performance.

There is no system but GNU and Linux is one of its kernels.
