I though that I remembered seeing a place where you could change the google field in the toolbar to the search engine of your choice. Anyone?

If you install Inquisitor you can select any search provider you want. It's a plug in for Safari.

Which version of Safari you using?

I could not fit all the menu on the screen but here is most of it.

You can edit in your own search engine choice if you're just wanting one - try this.

Or you can try Glims, which has the following selectable choices.

It also adds in the feature of command+enter which will auto open your search in a new tab.

Have you heard anything about whether or not Inquisitor would be updated to work with Safari 4?

bobtomay:

Glims looks good. Thanks.

Regards.

don't know about safari 4 without glims, but with glims the command+enter also works for opening a new tab from the address bar

Check the Inquisitor page. I swear I saw that it now works with Safari 4.

Sure does work with Safari 4. Only way I know to get a local Aussie search using Google.
