My quicktime isn't allowing me to view videos that I have downloaded. Whenever I try to view one it says that I have to download additional applications for it to work. It brings me to this page: Apple - QuickTime - QuickTime Components

I am in DIRE need of help!!!

You need to install the codecs that will enable Quicktime to view the type of videos you are trying to watch. Without knowing what type of videos you are trying to play, I can't say which codecs you need.

First thing to try is Perian. This will install support for almost all of the most common video types out there. Likely, this is all you need.

Standing request for all troubleshooting: Please provide your Mac model/year and OS version. Also advise us if you have used or installed any antivirus, security, or "cleaning" software on your Mac. If you have installed MacKeeper in particular, you are hereby advised to uninstall it.
