OS 10.5 - Can you have more than 1 iChat account?

I've got a new macbook.
The .Mac account I'm using for iChat is the same on both computers. This is causing a problem.
I'd like to send files from one to the other. Can I just create a new .Mac account?

iChat works with AIM, so it would be easier for you to just create a new AIM account as getting a .Mac account is essentially impossible now

Got it. Haven't made an AIM account yet, but it can't be too difficult to find out.
