Hey! I'm new here, so forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong area.

This question is for anyone who uses Netflix and has a Macbook. Whenever I try watching instant movies via my Netflix account, I cannot display the video in the full screen mode on my TV. I have a mini DVI adapter connected to a VGA cable that goes into my TV so I can watch the shows on my TV. When I slide the window to the TV screen and press "full screen:, the window goes black. It only works when the video is still small. However, full screen mode works when I connect my friend's PC to my TV.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Thanks.

No, have not seen this, but I think mine is set to mirrored mode all the time.
Will give it a try later and post back.

It took me a couple of days to get to it, but here it is.

The issue I'm sure is with Silverlight and it's associated DRM with the result that the movie will only play in Full Screen on the 'primary display'.

So, if you are in mirrored mode and switch to full screen, you'll have full screen on both displays.

However, if you are not in mirrored mode, it doesn't matter which display you drag the browser to, when you hit the 'Full Screen' button, it will only display in full screen on the display that is designated as the primary in the 'Arrangement' tab. If your browser is on the secondary display, the browser window will go black.

So, when you're not in mirrored mode, you'll need to go into System Preferences/Display and then the Arrangement tab - drag the little white bar that only shows at the top of one display (representing the location of the Menu Bar) to the other display. This will cause your TV to become the primary display.

Thanks for the information. I tried it in my computer and it worked.
