entourage email

I am using microsoft entourage 2004 and when I enter my hotmail account in and then try to check my mail, it proceeds to delete the mail and put it in the "mail" under "folders". Even if I check one of my folders on my hotmail account, it deletes the mail from there and sends it to the "Mail" account up top. How do I get it to stop doing this, as it just started. I have tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling; deleting the hotmail account and reinstalling it, all to with no avail.
